It has been an eventful weekend! Did you know Friday 5th June 2015 was world environment day? This is a day set apart every year to create awareness on environmental matters and also do something to impress our mother nature.
In the same year, the UN sets a theme for the particular year and nations do something in this line of operation. This years theme was “Seven Billion Dreams. One Planet. Consume with Care.” It involves reducing our consumption from the environment which has led to depletion of our limited natural resources.
To mark this special day, i joined Environmental Journalism Society of Kenya at Mt. Suswa where we involved ourselves on partnership creation and tree planting activity. A total of 170 trees were planted.
